Vodafone offers free Facebook for a week

Promotion is part of 'Free Friday' series and start of text alert service

Vodafone is offering customers free access to Facebook on mobiles or through mobile broadband for a week.

The promotion which started on 22 July, is part of the ‘Free Friday’ series and will allow customers using Vodafone mobile broadband or phones to use Facebook for free.

The offer marks the start of customers having the choice to sign up to free text alerts notifying them of status updates and pokes on Facebook.

Previous offers in the ‘Free Friday’ series have included free mobile internet and free music.

Customers will still be charged at the standard rate for looking at other websites.
