Summer 2023 is fast approaching, which means that many of us are in the process of booking our holidays for the year! One of the main questions that sits on a traveller’s mind pre-holiday is \u2018What will roaming charges be?\u2019 Well Here\u2019s a rundown of the current mobile phone <\/a>roaming charges you can expect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Can \u00a32\/day Get You?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you read the table above and are confused about what the \u00a32\/day charge will get you, don\u2019t worry we\u2019ve got an answer for you. The \u00a32 charge allows you to unlock your normal UK allowance for 24 hours. So if you\u2019re on a 12GB data plan then you\u2019ll have that for the day, if you\u2019re on a 100GB plan then you\u2019ll have that and so on. The same goes for \u00a31\/day charges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Does a Daily Roaming Pass Get You?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The VOXI <\/a>roaming pass gives you your inclusive plan data, or 20GB fair usage (whichever is less), unlimited texts (including MMS) and unlimited minutes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s a Talkmobile Euro Holiday Booster?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Talkmobile\u2019s Euro Holiday Booster gives you unlimited calls and texts to the UK and other European destinations along with 15GB of data. You\u2019ll only need to buy this if you joined the Talkmobile after the 14th of March 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O2\/Smarty – What Happens If You Go Over Your Daily Limit?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

So you might have noticed for O2 it states \u2018no additional charges up to 25GB data\u2019 and Smarty \u2018no additional charges up to 12GB data\u2019-but what happens if you go over this limit? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well O2 will text you if you\u2019re getting close to your 25GB limit, and again if you reach it. You\u2019ll still be able to use data if you reach the roaming limit but you\u2019ll face a charge of \u00a33.50\/GB for your ongoing usage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
