With the latest iPhone models offering improved cameras, faster performance and more features, it\u2019s worth making sure your data plan is ready to keep up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How much data do you actually need?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the first things to consider is how much mobile data you use each month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you regularly stream Netflix or YouTube, use social media, listen to music, make video calls or play games while you’re out and about, a larger data allowance could help you avoid running out before the end of the month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For heavier users, plans offering hundreds of gigabytes of data can provide plenty of flexibility without constantly worrying about your usage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check your upgrade options<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re changing networks, you may need to request a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) from your current provider. You can then give this code to your new provider, allowing your existing number to be transferred to your new contract. This means you can switch networks without having to give everyone a new number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check what\u2019s included in the new plan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mobile plans include more then calls, texts and data. Extras such as roaming allowances, subscriptions and additional services are included in your plan and worth considering before taking out a new plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roaming is particularly important if you travel abroad. Find out whether using your phone overseas is included, restricted or charged separately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consider what phone is best for your needs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Just because a new iPhone has launched, it doesn\u2019t necessarily mean it\u2019s the right choice for you. If you\u2019re looking for a phone that will be your everyday companion, fit seamlessly into your lifestyle and provide the features you need for work, entertainment or content creation, there\u2019s more to consider than just its appearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
