Syncing with Kies 2.0 can also be done using a Wi-Fi connection. For this to work, however, both your computer and Samsung device must be connected to the same network.

Step 1: Make sure that Kies on your desktop is running and with a working Internet connection.

Step 2: On your Samsung phone or tablet, go to Settings → Wireless and networks → Kies via Wi-Fi

Step 3: Find and pick your computer from the list. Your Samsung device will then try to make a connection with the computer.

Keep in mind, however, that the backup feature does not cover any content that is stored on the memory card of your mobile device. Should you need to restore the saved data, simply click on the 'Restore' button and select the backup file that you've previously created.

On the left side of the screen you can also find the Library section. From there, you can manage and play your media files that are stored locally on the computer. To begin, click on the type of media you wish to import to your library, and then click on the add button located at the top of the page. From the pop-up window, select the media and click 'Open'. The section will then be populated with the files you've added, and you can immediately transfer the media to your mobile device by checking the little boxes next to the files and clicking on the 'Transfer to Device' button.
