'Grand Theft Auto: Vice City' coming to mobile devices this fall
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is coming to iOS and Android mobile devices "later this fall," developer Rockstar Games revealed today.

Originally launched 10 years ago, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was considered by many fans to be the strongest entry in the series due to the vibrant city that mimicked 80's Miami, and popular movies, like Scarface, inspired story elements.

According to Rockstar Games, the upcoming anniversary edition of the game will offer a ''full experience'' to mobile devices with high-resolution graphics and custom controls. The developers also promised that the game will feature ''several enhancements unique to the iOS and Android platforms”. Rockstar Games did not clarify what mobile devices will be supported, but, by the looks of things, owners of the latest Tegra and Exynos quad-core processor phones like HTC One X or Samsung Galaxy S III will be in for a visual treat.

This isn't the first time the ground-breaking video game series made their appearance on smartphones and tablets. Grand Theft Auto 3, a game that preceded Vice City and popularized the 3D sandbox genre, saw a release on iOS and Android platforms last year. The game is now on sale alongside Grant Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars in honour of the announcement.
