This model has a very similar design to the iPhone XS Max. The bezel is so slim that it’s barely noticeable, and there’s just a small notch along the top for the front-facing camera.
 
Being the largest handset in the range, it’s perfect for playing games on the go or for streaming movies. It also comes with a stainless steel frame, as well as a dust and waterproof rating of IP68, to give you that added protection.
 
The screen is a Super Retina XDR display, with a resolution of 1242 x 2688 pixels. It uses scratch-resistant glass with an oleophobic coating, defending it against the scrapes and bumps of daily life. The back has the usual Apple look, although there is a new design for the camera housing, as well as a new, textured matte-glass finish, which works really well.
 

iPhone 11 Pro Max Audio

 
Apple always delivers excellent audio performance, and this device is no different. Although there is no standard headphone jack, the sound quality with AirPods or even generic Bluetooth headphones is first-rate. There is plenty of volume on offer, too, so you can easily make calls in a busy room.
 

iPhone 11 Pro Max Camera System

 
The iPhone 11 series is all about the power of 12, as all three of the rear cameras are 12MP. So, the standard, Ultra Wide and Telephoto lenses each create seriously good images.
 
The Ultra Wide lens offers an impressive 120-degree field of view, and the Night mode feature is brilliant for low-light photography. Plus, there’s a full range of built-in editing options. Meanwhile, the front-facing camera is also a 12MP lens, and facilitates both wide and ultra-wide capture.
 

iPhone 11 Pro Max Features and Performance

 
Inside the iPhone 11 Pro Max is the A13 Bionic chipset. The software is of course iOS, and the device is compatible with the newest version (iOS 14).
 
The handset also facilitates wireless charging, but you’ll only get the cable in the box. However, it does feature bilateral wireless charging (commonly known as reverse charging). This means you can use the phone to charge other wireless charging devices by placing them on the back - it’s a useful addition for things like AirPods.
 
There are three different storage sizes of the model on offer (64GB, 256GB and 512GB), and the one you go for will make an impact on the price slightly. However, each option provides plenty of memory. Finally, Apple has also upgraded FaceID, so you can relax knowing your mobile has a secure facial authentication system.
